Annual Support

During 2009, the YMCA of Roanoke Valley provided almost $1.2 million in financial assistance, scholarships, and program underwriting support, so that several thousand children, teens, and families could share in the special YMCA experience and many benefits the YMCA offers!  This was possible only because of the hundreds of YMCA partners who generously supported the annual Y Partners Campaign, which raises funds to ensure the long-standing promise that no person is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.

Through your contribution, the YMCA of Roanoke Valley and its branches are able to provide access to quality programs and services to everyone, regardless of age, gender, ability, or socio-economic status.  Our goal is to serve as many people in the community as possible, who can benefit from our services.  But we can't do that without your help.

Think you dollars don't make a difference?  They do!  For instance, a gift of $60 gives a child the opportunity to learn water safety and swimming, while a gift of $120 gives a child an entire week of summer camp, filled with swimming, crafts, games, and other value-based activities.
